Located in the heart of Clarendon, Spirits of ’76 is an intimate neighborhood bar and restaurant with a rustic patriotic theme and lots of character. Though it just opened two months ago, this quaint pub already is super cozy, with stained wood, exposed brick, and fun Americana relics. Fans claim the Spirits of ’76 feels like a real neighborhood pub with a friendly staff that enjoys getting to know their customers.
Spirits of ’76 specializes in hearty American cuisine with large portions and seasonal ingredients. Locals love their Rockfish Tacos, which include perfectly seasoned Caribbean jerk Rockfish, lettuce, tomato salsa, parmesan cheese, and ranch dressing. They also offer lots of other American classics, like meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, and barbecue pulled pork sandwiches. If you need to pick up a bottle of wine or six pack, they have wine and beer to go. Spirits of ’76 is Metro accessible via the Clarendon station and also has street parking and nearby parking garages.
