Bistro 1521 offers a wide variety of authentic Philippine cuisine. This large, stylish restaurant has a very open and comfortable atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy drinks and a meal, regardless of the size of the group.
The menu features starters like the Tokwa’t Baboy, a spicy combination of fried tofu, grilled pig ears, crispy pork belly, onions, and sov-vin. Entrées like the signature 1521 Tortang Talong are a delicious and extraordinary change of pace from which most are accustomed, topping Cebu crabmeat, eggplant, egg, and tomato with a mouthwatering barbecue glaze. For those trying to step even further out of the normal dinner box, the Kare-Kare is a dish consisting of braised ox-tail in a peanut sauce.
An extensive bar menu is also offered at Bistro 1521, featuring specialty cocktails like the Tame the Tikbalang — a strong mixture of Altos Silver Tequila, tamarind syrup, lime, jackfruit foam, and spiced salt. A wide selection of craft beers and wines are also available, and Happy Hour happens every weekday from 3 to 7 p.m.
