Foodies might recognize the name David Guas. The chef from New Orleans is well known in the culinary world as a regular guest on The Today Show, the host of the Travel Channel's American Grilled, and a fixture in magazines like Food & Wine. He's also the man behind Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar and Eatery, a cafe that brings a taste of New Orleans to Arlington.
Indulge in a cup of artisan coffee and a classic Bayou breakfast treat, the beignets. They come in sets of three, deep-fried delicacies dusted with powdered sugar. You can also build your own Southern biscuit with breakfast additions like bacon, eggs, and cheddar cheese. Later in the day, dig into the Muff-a-lotta sandwich, another New Orleans staple. It comes loaded with salami, mortadella, ham, provolone cheese, and olive salad. Salads, soups, and blue plate specials round out the lunch menu at Bayou Bakery.
