The Arlington County Fair comes around every year, and this year it runs from August 14th to the 18th. So what makes this year any different? First, the fair is bigger and better than ever. This year’s event is anticipated to draw nearly 90,000 visitors. Next, you’ll find plenty of brand new exhibitions and attractions, including new midway games, a robotics competition, and a monarch butterfly interactive experience. In addition, this year’s fair is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and waste impact, by eliminating single-use plastics and intensifying recycling and composting efforts.
Fortunately, some things aren’t changing: entrance to the fair is still absolutely, positively free for everyone, there will be games, rides, entertainment and food to suit a variety of preferences, and you’ll be able to avoid parking hassles by taking a free shuttle from the Arlington Career Center, I-66 parking garage, Pentagon City Metro, or Virginia Square Metro.
